Minor fix, stick the name we're giving to the tarballs on the end of

the copied CHANGES file.

've updated the tools/release.sh script in the httpd-dist CVS

repository to make it easier for anyone to create HTTPD tarballs.

Before it was necessary for a tag to exist before a tarball could

be created. This made it very difficult to release

experimental/developmental tarballs to a set of users for testing,

since we only like to make tags for releases that we believe will

be voted GA.

The new script takes away the VERSION parameter and replaces it

with two new parameters:

TAG is the CVS tag that we will pull from.

RELEASE-VERSION is the name that we'll give the tarball.

We're at 2.0.48 now on the binaries. I'm uploading x86-64 right now and

it looks like Brian Havard already updated the OS/2 binaries, so update

that entry too.

Vote passed, backport committed.

mod_so can only be built statically. If the user wants modules to

be built as DSOs by default (eg. ./configure --enable-mods-shared=most)

then we must override the default, otherwise none of the modules will

end up being installed (even though they'll get built).

Add a vote to commit the same patch I just committed to HEAD, so that

--enable-mods-shared=most/all will start working again.

Ignore that httpd.spec file.

Fix assertion failure, add a warning and quit instead.

Crashes from badly formed URLs have been solved AFAICT.

Note recently applied patches/fixes.

Catch badly formed URLs and exit. This is a good temporary fix,

but eventually we should probably rethink how we catch errors

and bubble them up instead of exiting right away.
